Day 25: Elton John Part 3

click photo for larger version

Today you have another chance to win a t-shirt. The first person to comment to this posting with the correct Elton John song represented by today's photo along with the original album in which it appeared wins.

The song represented by this photo was performed in the first Elton John concert I attended. I believe it was the last tour that Dee Murray, Elton's bass player, performed in. Davey Johnstone was not on this tour, but Nigel was on drums, Richie Zito was the lead guitarist and in addition to Elton, James Newton-Howard played keyboards. It was a tight band to say the least. What I remember about this song is that they sang the chorus acapella and it was amazing.

Camera info: I used a single off-camera flash high and to the right of the subject with no light modifiers. Camera was on a tripod using a 135mm lens, 1/125 sec at f/2.0, ISO 100. I used a string of LED Christmas lights in the background.

OK, my first guess was "Can you feel the love tonight" until I remembered that was Lion King and not Aladin. So then I thought, well, it's clearly not "Tiny Dancer" because Aladin is huge ... then I thought "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" because Aladin sort of helps save them ........ I really stink at this.

I'll go with "I guess that's why they call it the Blues" as my final answer. Too Low for Zero. And no, I didn't know the album off the top of my head, I had to look it up on Wikipedia. :)

I'm sure I'm wrong, but its still fun to guess.

I kept thinking, "Wait, I didn't think that Robin Williams sang."
I had that thought only and could not think of a single song by Elton John.

I'm not sure what the album is but I can tell you that I climbed into the hot attic to search for this poor figurine so that you all could enjoy this picture and this contest. Good Luck!

Great pic and song. I like the blue lights effect in the background.
